Volunteer opportunities: support Jasper at upcoming Oilers games

For Immediate Release

JASPER, AB - The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is supporting Jasper in its recovery through two upcoming EOCF 50/50s on:

  • March 28: Karbon-X has designated the Jasper Community Team Society (JCTS) as its charitable recipient.

  • April 2: Tourism Jasper has designated the Friends of Jasper National Park as its charitable recipient.

Jasper is moving through a period of rediscovery as the community rebuilds. Recovery is a long-term effort and can take up to 10 years, particularly for communities facing impacts as substantial as Jasper’s.

“Our recovery is moving forward, and we are preparing for the next phase. As we do so, we must continue caring for residents who are experiencing ongoing or complex needs. We are a strong and united community. And we are grateful to everyone lending a hand on this journey,” said Wanda Bogdane, executive director of the JCTS. “While our landscape is evolving and reshaping, so is our community. The JCTS is preparing for these changing demands, and the timing of this support is ideal.”

How can you participate? A limited number of volunteer ticket sellers are required for both March 28 and April 2 game days. If you are outgoing, want to help Jasper, and enjoy high energy environments, please reach out.

“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to come together in support of this incredible place. Through this, the Friends of Jasper National Park will help strengthen conservation initiatives, restore and enhance cherished spaces, and ensure that future generations can continue to experience the enduring beauty and spirit of Jasper National Park.” said Heather Aussant Roy, general manager of the Friends of Jasper National Park.
