CINNAMON BEAR COMES TO TOWN
A JASPER STORY
All proceeds support the Jasper Child and Youth Participation Fund.
Looking for a meaningful gift for a little one or a new adventure to add to your bookshelf? Cinnamon Bear Comes to Town is a charming Jasper-based children’s book that captures the spirit of our mountain town through the eyes of an adventurous bear.
Written by local author Liz Olsen and beautifully illustrated by Jasper artist Rico, this heartwarming story is more than just a great read — it’s also a map of some of Jasper’s most treasured places to explore when family and friends come to visit.
Best of all? Proceeds from the book support the Jasper Child & Youth Participation Fund, which helps local children and youth access extracurricular activities that build confidence, connection, and community.
To get your copy and support a great local cause, visit the following locations: Ransom, Bearfoot in the Park, Friends of Jasper National Park, Tekarra Color, Jasper Museum, Becker’s Chalets, Tekarra Lodge - and many others.

SOME OF THE FACTS
JASPER: WHEN TALES WERE TOLD
All proceeds support the Jasper Fire Community Caring Fund.
Girty Brown has the uncanny ability to know everybody’s business, particularly Owen’s, even before he does. Johnny-B lives to evade the law. Then there is Slick Eye and Ivy and Frank, and a whole host of other characters.
Some of the Facts invites readers into the fictional lives of the young community of Jasper. The tales, set in the 50s, are very loosely based on what some of the old timers would tell, stories that continue to change marvelously with each telling.
Beth Everest, the author, holds these story-tellers in high regard. Her father, who has spent more than 70 years in Jasper, is the inspiration for this project. He, like so many others, lost his home in the July 2024 wildfire. This book is dedicated to him, and to the story-tellers, and those who continue to fight for the integrity and safety of this community.
